Trend Worth Trying: Mixing Prints

October 16, 2011

It’s official – Prints aren’t going anywhere! Prints made a strong intro this past Spring/Summer 2011 and will be sticking around this Fall. Come Spring 2012, the trend will still be around. But, if you haven’t tried the trend this Spring, maybe you should consider giving prints a try this Fall. Come Spring 2012, you will be a pro at wearing.

For some, the runway looks are great to look at but can be a challenge to wear in everyday life.

If you have been inspired by the runway to give this trend a try, but are a bit unsure and just a tad conservative – don’t worry. You still can wear the look to compliment your personal style. Here is a simple way to try the look – without breaking the bank!

1) As a base, try a black and white strip crew-neck.

2) Simply pair with a cardigan in a neutral color. If you REALLY want to give a hint of style mileage than a red cardigan would be great. However, since you’re taking baby steps with the trend – go for gray.

3)Now for the play on prints..add a contrasting print within the same color tones – black and gray in a leopard print.
