Hump Day Holiday Cheer!

November 30, 2011

I know many of you have been hitting the shopping scene hard at the malls last week, during Black Friday, or scouring the computer this week for Cyber Monday – so kick back and relax those manicured fingers and your tired designer shoe wearing feet. With today being hump day Wednesday, well, now it’s time to lift your spirits with some….spirits.

The Vida Tequila is a perfect gift for a friend or a host this Holiday season. If you happen to be entertaining at home yourself, then you may want to pick up some of this tequila that won the Agave Challenge in 2008.

There are three flavors to choose from:

Blanco: clear and light bodied, with a light and smooth nose of cooked agave and a hint of cinnamon. An initial taste of mint and agave, including light herb and olive. A simple and medium aftertaste ending with sweet cinnamon. Double Distilled, immediately bottled.

Reposado: Light Gold in color with a light body, rested nose including cooked agave and hints of oak and butterscotch. Spiced butter initial taste, turning to a woody sweet vanilla. A sweet and hot finish with a subtle olive aftertaste. Tripple Distilled, aged in American White Oak barrels for up to 6 months.

Anejo: Golden brown and a light body, with a mellow nose containing sweet agave, wood, and a hint of tobacco. Initial hot and spicy taste and cooling to wood and vanilla with a subtle bourbon tone, finishing with a medium mint and wood aftertaste. Tripple Distilled, aged in French Oak barrels for 24 months.

So whether you want to liven’ your hump day up with Holiday cheer or have available for gatherings in the following weeks, check out this recipe for your guests:
