Add A Dose of Vitamin C To Your Wardrobe With Tangerine

April 12, 2012

Question. What’s the perfect alternative to wearing red in the spring and summer? Ok, ok..yes, I know, there is nothing like wearing the color red – but um, tangerine is a close second!! But, what’s not to love about the tropical color that intensifies and adds a tad of sizzle to our wardrobes this spring?  The look that made its entrance on the Spring 2012 runway, has made it’s rounds as a fabulous bright style statement on celebrities.

While many embrace bright colors (and have been since the color blocking trend), there are still those who may just shy away. If wearing color is foreign to you, I suggest that you puh-leeze, stop being afraid. Take baby steps by introducing tangerine to your wardrobe and paired with khaki – easy. Wearing it with khaki, really is nothing new under the sun and sort of expected – but that is a way to add a pop to a simple look. But, if you want to try pairing tangerine with more color, you may want to consider coordinating with cobalt blue, golden yellow, tropical green, or go rustic when adding red in the mix.  If the color still seems to be too much for you, then by all means at least try an accessory in the color as an accent.  Whatever you do, please don’t wear the color from head-to-toe!

So, if you’re ready to take the color plunge with tangerine, try the hue in a few accessory and clothing styles of the season being served up:
