Transform Your Wardrobe This Spring With A Fun One Piece

April 29, 2013

Well ladies, two garments we once wore as children, made it to the clothing racks of our favorite stores for Spring.  Yup, I’m talking overalls and jumpers. Now, perhaps you’re not sure about what to think of both, let alone sure of how one could wear such a look without appearing  juvenile.  But, take heed, there are some pretty cool ways to wear these items and look fabulously chic.

THE JUMPSUIT

While we’ve spotted jumpsuit styles on Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys during their recent appearances, many may have pondered  how such a one-piece would look on their own bodies. Truthfully, jumpsuit styles can be pulled off for a number of body types but finding the perfect style to compliment ones proportions is similar to the  process of finding the right pair of  jeans. As a rule of thumb, be sure to find one that emphasizes those womanly curves and has a cinched waist – or find the perfect belt to add that effect. Also try to find a style that gives you options for dressing down or dressing up when needed.

THE OVERALLS

Farmer goes chic! All wit aside, a grown woman can definitely wear overalls without looking as though she is in grade school. While denim overalls are by far the most casual style, a more dressed up fabrication such as silk could be an alternative for a certifiable grown up look. Do know, the type of woman who would reach for a pair of overalls is one who is carefree and unpretentious. None the less, denim overalls can be dressed up or down as the occasion dictates.
