FASH-LANTHROPHY: The Latest Scoop On Fashion & Beauty Brands Giving Back

When most think of giving, it’s Holiday season and helping those in need is top of mind. But, both fashion and beauty brands are proving that the time for giving ALWAYS exists – 365 days of he year!

Luxury lifestyle brand Gucci, has kicked off their CHIME FOR CHANGE campaign with a concert last nigh in London, which included headliners such as Beyonce, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora and many others. The CHIME FOR CHANGE campaign’s leading ladies are all participating in various campaigns in partnership with Gucci to improve education, health and justice for women and girls. The taping of the concert airs tonight at 9pm on NBC.

In the beauty world, L’Oreal Paris has brought on Lea Michele of Glee to kick off its eighth year of the brands Women Of Worth program which has honored and celebrated 70 inspiring women who selflessly made a difference in their communities through volunteerism, charitable efforts and compassion.This year’s ten honorees will be selected by a private panel of judges, with each woman receiving $10,000 for her charitable cause. Following this announcement, the public will be invited to vote online for the woman they find most inspiring. The woman who wins  will be named the 2013 National Honoree and receive an additional $25,000 for her charity. All ten honorees will be recognized at a star-studded awards ceremony and dinner hosted by L’Oréal Paris in New York City this December.

Designer Rachel Roy has partnered with an organization FEED, founded by Lauren Bush with a collection of limited-edition bags to help raise awareness and funds to help fight hunger in India – which is home to one-quarter of the world’s hungry people.
