FASH-LANTHROPHY: Actress Lea Michele Helps Launch L’Oreal Paris’ Women of Worth 2013 Nominations

November 13, 2013

Now in its eighth year, “Glee” actress Lea Michele has signed on as the newest WOW ambassador – kicking off the voting for the L’Oreal Paris’ Women of Worth of the ten selected 2013 honorees.

Each year, honorees are chosen based on their involvement in a various array of causes. They have advocated for victims of childhood abuse, mentored homeless youth to help break the cycle of poverty, and empowered teens with disabilities. These Women Of Worth have selflessly devoted themselves to causes at the local and national level, and have motivated others to get involved.

This year, the WOW program has made exciting adjustments to the nomination period (open now through June 14th), and organize honorees into five groups by decade, recognizing women across a wide range of ages: 18-29 year olds, 30-39 year olds, 40-49 year olds, 50-59 year olds and 60+ year olds. Two winners will be chosen from each age group.

Beginning now through Nov. 20, there is a voting element where people across the country can vote for the honoree they most admire. The woman with the most votes will be named the National Honoree and receive an additional $25K. People can vote daily through:
